The Walsingham Review is
the magazine of the 8,500 members of the Society of Our Lady
of Walsingham – including Priests Associate. Over the
years it has appeared in a variety of guises and formats. It
first appeared as Our Lady’s Mirror in January, 1926 and was
largely the work of Father Patten. The penultimate edition of the
Mirror was a memorial issue for Father Patten
in 1958, the final issue appearing Spring 1959. The Walsingham
Review eventually took its place in 1961 and has appeared
annually, then bi-annually, ever since. In Easter 2005 the
first four page Walsingham Review Extra was sent out to all
members.

If you would like to read the latest edition of The Walsingham
Review then you can
download it in PDF format (size 2.3 MB).

The Photo Gallery has been designed to
supplement the necessarily limited number of
images that can be displayed on the main
Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham website. It
contains albums of pilgrimages and special
events together with some of the Honorary
Shrine Photographer’s (HSP) favourite
images. It will be maintained on a ‘current
year basis’; for example, this year’s
National Pilgrimage album will be
immediately replaced by next year’s album. |
Viewers
of the Photo Gallery can copy, download, paste and
print any image. If you are using Windows Internet
Explorer, simply ‘right click’, ‘copy’ and ‘paste’
the image. Please remember, the images on this site
are made available by the HSP who is the copyright
owner. The viewer’s personal use of the image is
unlimited but when an image is to be used publicly,
with a credit to the HSP, permission must be
obtained before downloading.

The
reason for prior approval is two fold:
(a) to
learn where and for what purpose Shrine
images are being used and
(b) to
offer the viewer a better image file, if
required. |
